Thinking of moving to Texas? How about the San Antonio area? There’s lots to love about this region of the state and indeed the country. From attractions and amenities to schools and dining, we’ll go over which ones are the best cities to move to in Texas. Fortunately, Texas Best Movers serves them all!

San Antonio

A good choice. We are based here in San Antonio at 8482 Fredericksburg Road, and know everything there is to know about moving here. Home to 1.5 million people, it’s the seventh most populous city in the country and second in Texas as well as the southern U.S. The food is amazing, whether you’re into haute cuisine, tacos, or barbecue. San Antonio is chock full of local coffee roasters, breweries and wineries.

Hit the River Walk, a pedestrian-only street situated along the San Antonio River and lined with restaurants, bars and local shops. It also hosts annual festivals and fairs, something not to be missed. Check out a Spurs game at the AT&T Center.

All in all, San Antonio is a city on the rise, not just in terms of population but also its real estate and tech business scenes.

Alamo Heights

Located just five miles from downtown San Antonio, Alamo Heights is an affluent city home to 7,000 at last count. This premier neighborhood has eclectic restaurants and top-rated public schools, with its proximity to downtown being a big perk. Shop at the couture boutiques, unique shops, and designer showrooms.

The public school system here has an unprecedented college-bound student rate of 95 percent and earns top grades in all areas of academics as well as athletics.

Converse

Home to 20,000, Converse TX is located in Bexar County and is just 15 miles from downtown San Antonio. This highly walkable city has a great Parks and Rec department, featuring multiple ball fields and football fields, a basketball court, a walking trail, and a butterfly garden. With plenty of green space, sidewalks and open land, Converse is the ideal place to raise a family.

New Braunfels

A city in Comal and Guadalupe counties, New Braunfels is situated in the northeastern portion of Greater San Antonio. Covering about 45 square miles, this community is home to about 80,000 people.

The food alone is worth the trip. You’ll experience both traditional flavors and adventurous new concepts that range from spicy Tex Mex to barbecue to Southern comfort food. The music scene is on the move as well, drawing in big-name acts all year long. There are also plenty of breweries and wineries to tour, from New Braunfels Brewing Company to Dry Comal Creek Vineyards.

Stone Oak

This is an affluent master-planned community situated in far north central San Antonio. Home to 75,000, this place is on the move. Known for its gated communities, 24x7 security, and well-landscaped yards, Stone Oak boasts easy access to several shopping centers, restaurants, excellent hospitals, and an incredible public library.

They assisted in packing my apartment and moving it, quick and efficient. Great people to talk to and to be around. We worked with both Jon and John, they tackled the hard situation of moving in Texas heat and no ac in our apartment with no complaints and got everything moved over to out new place faster than I expected. Definitely will be using their services again in the future!

Julian and John were great. They took very good care of my belongings and completed my moved within the amount of time I had estimated. They drove safely to the destination and were very polite, answering almost everything with "sir." That was just the move. I had a major family medical emergency near Austin the Sunday before my move and Guillermo was compassionate and helpful in adjusting my move to the times that suited me. After 4 days of exceptional stress, I had a moment of frustration and abrasively responded to something Guillermo said and he didn't flinch. I'm pretty OCD about my stuff but it looks to have all made it without damage to anything. 10/10 Excellent work
